THE NEEDS ANALYSIS

Now that we have explored the 5 most important trainable physical qualities, it's time to start adding in some context to these. Having an understanding of these physical qualities allows us to start analysing sporting movements in an attempt to identify what physical qualities are required to complete those sporting activities to a high level. This process is known as a "Needs Analysis", and is the central idea that this module has been building towards. By completing a needs analysis, coaches can then compile a list of physical qualities that need to be developed in order to allow athletes to excel at their sporting movements, thus making exercise prescription and program writing much simpler and more thorough.
