COORDINATION
This is probably the most under-appreciated concept in this module, as often a lay-persons idea of coordination may differ from that of a coach/movement specialist. Coordination is an umbrella term that relates to the ability of an athlete to produce the right amount of the right movement at the right time when faced with a task/problem. Although this may seem like a vague definition, the implications are significant as a lot of the movement patterns we deal with fall under the umbrella term of "coordination", and hence need to be treated as such when designing interventions to improve these patterns. This video will take you on a bit of a wild ride to explore some concepts relating to coordination and movement patterns, which will be built on in later modules!
