MODULE 1: THE ART AND SCIENCE OF COACHING
Why this is important?
As coaches we spend a lot of time learning about and focusing on the science of human anatomy and physiology, exercise prescription and programming etc. And rightly so. However we often neglect to review and apply the science of coaching, and considering the art of putting the science together to best achieve training outcomes. A max strength program won't achieve the outcome you are hoping for if the athlete is lifting sub-maximally, the same with a velocity or speed based program. Motivating athletes towards maximum performance will greatly assist in driving outcomes, but is a unique skill of its own.
